Meet the Bridgerton children: Who are the eight siblings?

Meet the Bridgerton children: Who are the eight siblings?

The Ton is abuzz with excitement as viewers made a return to the gossip-filled high society world of Bridgerton, as season 2 has launched on Netflix.

The Regency-era period drama has moved on from the passion between Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) and Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page), to the second Bridgerton child.

This season explores Viscount Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley) as the couple flirt their way through a backdrop of balls, orchestral versions of contemporary songs and the quick-spreading gossip of Lady Whistledown (Nicola Coughlan).

While viewers will have their eyes drawn toward Anthony and Kate’s escalating relationship, some will remember the remaining Bridgerton clan, as the other six siblings return from season one.

Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) age: 31

This season, all eyes will be on Anthony as the eldest child’s love story with Kate Sharma gains the spotlight.

Based on the second book in Julia Quinn’s collection of novels, The Viscount Who Loved Me, Anthony is searching for a wife.

  Dive into anything

Fans may recall, in season one his storyline was rather different – in the first few minutes of the opening episode, Anthony is seen butt-naked having sex against a tree with his lover, Siena Rosso.

This season, it’ll be a little less steamy, but there’s still some high hopes for his Mr Darcy moment.

Benedict (Luke Thompson) age: 28

Second in line is Benedict, whose storyline is exposed in the third book of the collection, An Offer from a Gentleman.

However, fans are pretty keen for the show to deviate from the book, as Benedict has been interpreted by many to be gay or bisexual (although the character is never seen in an embrace, instead enjoying life at debaucherous parties filled with sex in season one).

Colin (Luke Newton) age: 23

In season one, Colin was engaged to Marina Thompson (Ruby Barker), before a pregnancy scandal occurred so it was all broken off.

However, love’s not lost for Colin as fans of the book may recall book four, Romancing Mister Bridgerton, explores the sparks between Colin and Penelope, who has had to hide her love for him behind a friendship.

Not for long!

  List of Bridgerton Siblings

Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor) age: 22

Season one was all about Daphne’s debut in society, and the love and lust for her husband The Duke.

While Daphne is returning this season, hearts are broken as we we bid adieu to Regé-Jean Page as Simon Bassett.

Eloise (Claudia Jessie) age: 18

Marking her debut in society this time around, Eloise is the second eldest daughter of the Bridgerton family.

She spent most of season one complaining (rightly so) about having to play appearances and marry and have children, and would instead rather consider herself destined to be a spinster.

Francesca (Ruby Stokes) age: 17

The sixth sibling and third daughter of Violent and Edmund Bridgerton, Francesca has hardly appeared so far.

In season one, she was in Bath and not yet out in London society.

While she returned at the end of the social season, her time to shine will truly come if book six of the collection, When He Was Wicked, gains a season.

Gregory (Will Tilston), 13, and Hyacinth (Florence Hunt), 11

The youngest siblings of Bridgerton, Gregoy and Hyacinth have not had much attention yet.

Gregory seems to be just as mischevious as season one, annoying his little sister, while Hyacinth is eager to follow in Daphne’s footsteps and find true love.

Bridgerton family tree: Who are the Bridgerton siblings and how old are they?

Hyacinth was the only Bridgerton sibling to never meet their father (who died before she was born).

Her love story unfolds in the seventh novel, with Gregory ending the collection with book eight.

Bridgerton is available to watch on Netflix.
